Chair Mats and Castors

Chair Mats and Castors

Have you ever considered what kind of damage your chair could be causing your hard floors and carpets, in both your home and office? With so many of us working and studying from home nowadays, we need to consider the impact this is having on our furnishings. Chairs, by their nature, will always come into contact with a surface but we can lessen the impact by using some protective measures.

Chair mats can protect your carpets from wear and prevent the underlay from being pulled up. If you have hard floors (timber or tiles), you have two options. Poly castors can replace your existing plastic castors with rubber-based ones. These are kinder to the varnish on your timber floors and help with noise reduction. The rubber base also helps with absorption when rolling over grout lines in your tiles – the small axles do not appreciate the impact. There is also the option of a hard floor chair mat, for those that are using 4 legged or sled-based chairs.
